The Brown Animal Hospital family is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Lake City, SC. As a Vet Assistant with Brown Animal Hospital, you will be an integral part of our team at Brown Animal Hospital, and will be a key part in making sure our clients and patients have the best care possible.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in a veterinary setting is required
• 1+ year of Veterinary Assistant experience
• Good communication skills
• Be able to manage stressful situations
• Must work well with others
• Adapt to changing environments
• Punctuality
• Good judgment
• Positive and warm personality

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF A VET ASSISTANT

• Assist veterinarians during appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, and record vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
• Clean and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms
• Provide exceptional customer service to our clients
• Completion of related education and training when assigned
• May have shared or rotating responsibilities on weekends and/or holidays
• Other duties as assigned
