TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a talented Sr. Software Engineer (Full Stack C# Developer) to join our Software Development Team as a full-time employee in Round Rock, Texas. Summary: The Sr. Software Engineer will participate in software development team responsibilities primarily as a full-stack C# developer focusing on projects with an exciting level of risk, complexity, and visibility. The software we are developing is the next generation of an existing product using .NET technologies that is currently in use at tolling operations throughout the country. We are focusing on an initiative to merge multiple software tools into a common web portal utilizing Angular for more flexibility of access, integration, and movement between tools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Develop new user-facing features.
- Design, develop, test, and modify robust, scalable multi-threaded services and applications using C#, Angular framework, and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
- Participate in daily scrum meetings and provide updates on progress to team.
- Participate in design discussions for toll collection systems which includes new feature creation and/or existing functionality performance improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Assist in system installations and provide post deployment support for customer reported issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting customer reported bugs and developing resolutions for these issues.
- Provide experience-based timelines and estimates for delivering high-quality products based on requirements and specifications.
- Document system designs and assist in providing technical details during user guide creation activities.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies and suggest changes to improve the solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned with industry best practices.
Requirements And Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field required, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field highly desirable.
- 5+ years professional programming skills in writing multi-threaded programs using C# and/or front-end development.
- Proficient understanding of web markup including HTML 5 and CSS3.
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms (LESS).
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.
- Good understanding of Angular and Typescript.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Experience using Microsoft’s WebAPI technology.
- Strong understanding of Object Oriented Architecture (OOA) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) designs.
- Experience with database development using Microsoft SQL Server.
- A passion for design, problem solving, and hands-on development.
Desired Qualifications - Experience using Angular Material.
- Experience using AngularJS.
- Experience using Microsoft’s WCF technology.
- Cloud solution experience.
- Candidate should have experience with unit testing and should have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, bug-free code on time.
