We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Junior and Senior Electrical Estimators to join our team in Connecticut. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects, ranging from commercial and residential to industrial jobs. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate material and labor estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and cost information.
Use estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, Bluebeam, or similar) to develop detailed estimates.
Prepare and present bid proposals and change orders.
Maintain current knowledge of local codes, market conditions, and material pricing in Connecticut.
Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for completeness and competitiveness.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
Track and update project costs and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), Connecticut state codes, and industry standards.
Strong proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents.
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites in Connecticut as needed.
Electrical license or background in electrical construction is a plus.
Experience with design-build and hard-bid projects.
Familiarity with union and non-union labor practices in Connecticut.
Salary up to $140k including fully paid company medical/dental/401 k match
