Bellevue Country Club

Bellevue Country Club is seeking a Controller leading the clubs accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance to support organizational financial health. This position reports to the General Manager, supervises the business office while ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal controls.

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Supervise the accounts receivable and payroll accountants.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Lead budget preparation, monitor variances between budgeted and actual performances, and support forecasting initiatives.
• Develop and enforce internal controls, uphold compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Support and coordinate internal and external audits, including preparation of required schedules and liaison with auditors.
• Maintain and update accounting policies, procedures, and systems for efficiency and best practice.
• Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the General manager and staff.
• Ensure timely completion of necessary tax filings and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain system (NorthStar) financial integrity. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or relevant certification.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience (mid-level role scope).
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and modern accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong Excel skills including data analysis and report building capabilities.
• Effective communication abilities for collaborating across departments and reporting summary results to management.

Competitive Compensation:
Salary is open and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The club offers an excellent benefit package. Salary range: $70,000 - $82,500 based on experience level.
